The Illinois Department of Transportation welcomes you to the official web site for the Interstate 70 (West) reconstruction project in Clark County in southeastern Illinois.

This project, one of the largest downstate Interstate reconstruction projects, involves a $45 million reconstruction of 11 miles of the 33-year-old Interstate 70 from the North Fork of the Embarrass River, just west of Martinsville, eastward to one mile west of Illinois 1, near Marshall.

Reconstruction of mainline I-70 pavement work is scheduled to begin on March 6, 2003 and will be completed by October 21, 2003.
